Does Art get included in curriculum?

When your refrigerator becomes overpowered with children’s art; i.e., pictures of you as the teacher with the bun on her head or of mom or dad, the family then consider making a portfolio. Collect all the artwork and arrange it in a 3-ring binder. Put each artwork into a protective plastic sheet or the larger pieces of artwork into a portfolio.

Remember to have the child write their name on the back along with the date and title of the art. With a scanner you can scan the art and save images as JPEG files on your personal computer. Then, if the originals are lost you still have a record of the art work. There are also online companies such as My Publisher to help put it all together as a coffee table book or official publication. Children’s art work makes terrific gifts for relatives who can view it online. View this painting for example: http://rpmedia.ask.com/ts?u=/wikipedia/commons/9/96/Three_Butterfly-Glue%2C_Chalk_by_Chip.JPG

To add a culinary flare to Thanksgiving and going back to school attempt to create a schoold bus as illustrasted in the video: http://familyfun.go.com/how-to-videos/familyfun-schoolbus-cake-762378-v/
It will put you in a sweet temperament and give you a sweet tooth too!

When out put this the address bar it is amazing and you can see how artistic in design young artists can be without any effort. A few cute curricumum ideas to get in touch with as working with Paper Mache, ie.Making a turkey had out of styrofoam and then have the feathers become brightly colored pencils holders. Paper Mache turkeys fit well in the holidays.

Another art idea for a project is to make turkeys of a tissue paper and tissue paper flowers. I used to teach childen to make flowers at the MUSC Children and Cancer ward in Charleston in the 80's
What are the benefits? They include allowing childrem to make conections disciples, adds a sense of relavency to the unit a(ie, Social Studies),
prepares children to transfer knowledge later in their life. Brain research has shown that through inter-connection, individuals process connectons much faster. Learner results include developmemt of children's ability to conduct sceintific inquiry and understand organisms.

I believe it is more exciting in the classrom to work with three-objects and the normal conventional guidance and direction. They gain more infomation about the animals. "Curriculum integration is a powerful strategy to help children make better sense of material they are learning and transfer their knowledge across contect areas and to new situations".
(Duran, 2009)

Offer constructive criticim with art work as well as praise. Think creatively about using data with aid form Vista Print or an online company to produce children'art workbooks that grandparents can see and appreciate.
